In the elevator commonly used today, people always enjoy it’s convenience, comfort and fast, but as a special equipment, its safety issues are also of concern.
In Chile, the fire department handles three elevator accidents on average every day. In the face of frequent elevator accidents, how to rescue the trapped people for the first time has become the first priority of the fire department. Due to the lack of related basic training and practical facilities, firefighters' elevator rescue skills have been slowly upgraded.
Recently, Andes Lifts Company, a partner of Yida Express Elevator in Chile, donated an elevator to the San Diego Fire Department for firefighters' daily simulation training so that firefighters can gain a better understanding of elevator equipment and be more familiar with elevator rescue work, exclusion of danger, protection of passenger safety.
This elevator is a small machine room passenger elevator EKJ30 manufactured by Yida Express Elevator. EKJ30 Small Machine Room Passenger Elevator is a new concept elevator independently developed by Yida. It adopts energy-saving and low-speed permanent magnet synchronous gearless traction machine, which saves energy by more than 33% compared with that of the same load-weight elevator. The elevator saves more than 40% of the machine room space, which can effectively save the building space as well.
On the day the elevator was installed, the leaders of the San Diego Fire Department celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the top representatives of Andes Lifts Company.
Yida Express Elevator also hopes that with the aid of this simulated training elevator, firefighters will be more professional in dealing with elevator accidents and rescue work.
